Although these pictures haven't been edited so do need some work, I am happy with the rawness of them and how well they represent the term magnification.

Using photography
I have started to use photography within my work. I knew that I was going to use photography, however I didn't really know when to start. Therefore, I just went and got a macro lense and started to take picture of things magnified that really sparked my interest. I am happy with the pictures that I have taken, they have turned out well and have really helped me to develop my idea of magnification. I want to look at magnifying objects and textures that may have been insignificant before. For example, I had taken a picture of moss, an everyday object that you don't even notice. However, when magnifying moss, it completely changes it. It becomes powerful and extremely hard to ignore. Just by looking at it in more detail, up closer, it can completely change the way that you look at it. I really like this idea. I feel that is has personal meaning to me therefore I think it will help me to really develop my idea of magnification. Making something go from insignificant to significant, is a really powerful way of presenting magnification.
