Creating tonal value

After just focusing on the outline of the split between the two sides, I decided to draw it using more detail. I used charcoal for this creating this piece, it let me add more detail and tonal value in a shorter amount of time. I was happy with this piece, I change the tonal value of the piece, making the darker parts the outside and the lightest part in the inside. However I was not happy with the scale of this drawing, I feel that it was an awkward shape, I should have drawn it bigger therefore I would be able to add more detail to it. Then next piece shows the split of the two sides filled in. I was not happy with how this piece turned out, I ran out of time at the end so had to to just leave the outside completely white even though that was not what I was observing. In addition to that the shading on the inside is very inaccurate therefore doesn't represent the object very well. Overall, I have mixed feelings about this page, I don't really know what I really like about it but I definitely know what I dislike about it.
