This page shows a range of different mediums I decided to use. I used charcoal to show the texture the overlapping bark created. I turned the charcoal on it's side to create the texture looked of it being overlapped. I was happy with how this piece turned out, it looked structured and textured. In addition to it created a ripple effect throughout the piece. The next piece was drawn in biro, it shows the same thing but using a different medium. This allowed the texture I was drawing to flow more throughout the piece. I don't like this piece as much, it changed style throughout it constantly. By that I mean my sketching went in all different directions apart from the middle which flowed well. This created a huge inconsistency. I feel like no colour has been shown throughout my sketchbook, therefore I added some. It was off the same drawing, however it look awful. I tried to use black to create shading but only put it on the outside, then when I tried to blend it, all the colour became the same. So, I decided to create a small colour scale at the bottom of the page, trying to blend the colours together. I feel that this helped me a lot, I could see how the colours worked when placed next to each other.
